Main Gate

There is a gate for entering and exiting the car park.

You get the code from the landlord of your apartment. Lost code? Ask your landlord.

Is the gate not working? Ask your host or the resort manager.

Access to the Beach

Go through the small gate at unit 19, walk across the terrace of Bahia and take the red stairs to the beach.

You can also walk outside. Exit through the main gate, turn right and walk along the street past Bahia Apartments; take the first side road on the right

Side Gate

The side port is used in case of main port failure. It opens with a key. You get this from your landlord.

Pool Rules

The pool is for resort guests only. The quality of the bathing water is checked twice a week. Use of the swimming pool is not allowed between 10 pm and 8 am.

Safety and Health
  • There is no lifeguard on duty; children under the age of 12 are only allowed in the pool under the supervision of an adult.
  • Glass is not allowed in the pool area.
  • No Running around the pool
  • No diving in the pool
  • Play carefully
  • Diapers in the pool are not allowed.
  • Animals are not allowed in the water.
  • Do not enter a pool if you are have been sick, have had diarrhea or vomiting in the past 48 hours
  • Do not enter the pool with open wounds/sores
  • No cooking or BBQ's in the pool area and under the palapa
  • No diving equipment in the pool. The salt of the sea water is very bad for the swimming pool
  • The sunbeds and tables must remain by the pool (so don't take them to the beach or your own unit!)
  • Shower before swimming (in your own unit or in the shower by the pool).

Parking

The car park is for resort guests only.
Passenger cars, SUVs, small pick-up trucks and small vans are only permitted to use the parkin space. Vessels or trailers are not allowed.

Company cars may only be temporarily parked on the site for the purpose of carrying out work. They are not allowed to remain on the site at night.

There is room for one car per unit. Additional parking spaces only on a “if available” basis. Please park any extra cars outside the gate (along the road or in the large parking lot near the beach).

Do not park on the crosses. These are the entrances for emergency services such as the fire department and ambulance.

Incorrectly parked vehicles can be towed at the owner's expense.

Plants and Animals

There are iguanas on the resort. They love fresh fruit.

This little bird is called Sugar Thief. Some sugar on a saucer is a delicacy.

Dogs on the property must be on a leash and any dog waste must be cleaned up.

The trees and shrubs on the resort are maintained by our gardener.  Do not pick coconuts or bananas from the trees.

Garbage

You can throw household waste in the waste containers. Please put food leftovers, liquids and hygienic products in a closed plastic bag or bottle.

Make boxes small please, that saves space!

Empty plastic bottles and aluminum are allowed in the separate bags.

Bottles are allowed in the container, but you can also deliver them in the glass container at the petrol station of ……….[BRAND NAME ? ] on Tera Kora.

Toilet

Do not flush non-natural materials (such as hygiene products, plastic) down the toilet; they clog the sewage pipes.
Also, do not flush out toxic substances because they hinder the functioning of the septic tank.

Local Restaurants

There are many great options for dining in the Lagun Area. Some of the most popular restaurants are.

Bahia Beach Bar and Restaurant

On Thursday evenings they sere delicious BBQ or Krioyo (local food). The evening will be musically accompanied by Trio Ekis or the percussion band ‘All Stars’.

10 Minute Drive North of Lagoon Ocean Resort. Reserve early.

15 Minute Drive North of Lagoon Ocean Resort. Reserve Early. They only open Friday Saturday and Sunday

A clinic is available beside the airport should you need to visit a general practitioner.

http://www.portomedico.com/ Approx 25 minute drive depending on time of day. There is rush hour during the weekdays in the morning. If you need to be there for 8am it is suggested you leave at approx 7:00am.

Please check with your insurance company for any medical claims and advice for any claim you may wish to make. Medicare is not expensive on the island. Do not hesitate to get treatment.

There is also a doctor who can come to the resort.
